My friend Chris's company puts on a great thing every year called "Hooked On Fishing". It's set up in Upper Bidwell Park (our favorite place), they stock the lake with fish, supply poles and gear, and then clean them afterwards. And it's all free!! So the kids, me, and Lee went out for a few hours of fishing. It was hilarious how impatient the kids were, just like me! Fishing just makes me hungry, and I usually head straight out and buy some fish at Safeway. :) Anyway, we had a really excellent time, the kids both got a fish (the cheater way, for kids under 5 they will hook one and then hand the child the pole. Look mommy, I caught one!), Lee took the fish home and hopefully ate them after all that trouble. :)
So we had a mellow Easter this year. A couple of egg hunts, a couple of barbeques, days at the park and afternoons in the backyard... that's my kind of Easter. Here are a few pictures.

Self-timed photos always turn out so natural looking.
Selina is done with soccer now for the season. She really enjoyed herself. She started out pretty timid, and winded most of the game, since she's playing with up to 7-year old girls. But by the end she was rushing in on the ball and throughout the game kept count of how many times she had kicked it. She would get near the ball and/or kick it, and then turn to us on the sidelines and show by her fingers how many times she had kicked it. It was very cute. Anyway, here we are last night at her awards ceremony at Round Table Pizza. :)
So Peyton has been doing something cute lately. He waits until I leave the room, then he turns on my camera and starts snapping pictures. I hear it and wonder.. what is he taking pictures of this time? Turns out he was taking some pretty cute pictures of himself. :)
